NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Pulaski Technical College Foundation will participate in #GivingTuesdayAR on Dec. 1, a day that focuses on holiday giving rather than holiday spending.

At PTC, more than 60 percent of students rely on financial aid through scholarships, grants and loans, while 90 percent work full- or part-time. With a somewhat small allocation from the state, tuition and fees must generate almost half of Pulaski Tech’s operating costs, whereas most colleges’ student fees account for a mere 20 percent of their budgets.

Some of the officers with the department will be taking part in "No Shave November." For the entire month of November, Chief Boyd is allowing participating Jacksonville officers to let their facial hair grow.

Those involved will also be donating $20 towards the Susan G. Komen organization, all of it on behalf of their fellow officer and survivor School Resource Officer Jennifer Corben.

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The Jacksonville Police Department will now be using a new website based tool for the citizens of Jacksonville.

At the Jacksonville police website, there is now a new tab labeled "Calls for Service" that will help the citizens of Jacksonville stay informed on what is going on in their town. The Calls for Service and Events reports is a list of the calls and self-initiated incidents the Jacksonville police enters into their Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system during the 24 hour period specified that is available for public release.

Some events may be removed so that it will not hinder crime suppression efforts.

A Recap of LRFW 7

LITTLE ROCK, Ark - Not even a nearly record-breaking hot day could prevent the excitement around the show and entertainment behind the outdoor event on the 4th block of Main Street in downtown Little Rock at the Big Night.

Little Rock’s very own native and TV news personality, Keristen Holmes, returned home to host Big Night, presenting returning designers and new designers as they showcased their clothing lines while models strutted in the designer’s collection on the runway at the seventh annual Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW).
