JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - The Jacksonville Police Department is proud to announce that the first multi housing property is set to become CERTIFIED in our Crime Free Multi Housing Program on September 27 at 6 pm.

The Jacksonville Police Department acknowledges that Eastwood Apartments at 1011 S. James St. has completed the 3 phase program in order to become certified.

Certification is awarded after the minimum requirements are met or exceeded. The requirements include background screening, implementing the Crime Free Lease Addendum, door and window security, landscaping, lighting and attendance of our Crime Free Training class.

The Jacksonville Police Department Participates in the Crime Free Multi Housing and Crime Free Rental Property program. Our goal is to keep crime out of our neighborhoods. We encourage property owners, managers and landlords to participate in this great opportunity. If we work together, we can provide housing that is clean, safe and reduce crime for our citizens.

The Crime Free Multi Housing program was developed in 1992 in Mesa AZ. The Crime Free Multi-Housing Program has spread to nearly 2,000 cities in 44 U.S. states 5 Canadian Provinces, Mexico, England, Finland, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and Puerto Rico. The Crime Free Multi Housing program was designed to reduce crime, drugs, and gangs on apartment properties.

A Gold Certification certificate will be awarded to Eastwood Apartments during the phase 3 Safety Social. Join us and the residents of Eastwood Apartments for food, games, meet and greet, prizes and more on September 27, 2015 at 6 pm at 1011 S. James.
