JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - The Nixon Library will host a clothing swap starting at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 27. Ladies bring clothing to exchange, and find something nice in return!

Charity gamers show off their SWAG

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Join the players of the Arkansas Warriors (an Arkansas Developmental League Team) and the Power 92 Jammers (a local radio station charity basketball team) as they face off against one another to raise money to support these the DREAM and SWAG after-school programs.

The game is Friday, Jan. 28 at 7:00 pm in the Harry Elementary Gym, 4424 Highway 61 in North Little Rock.

Hosted by DREAM and SWAG Pre-K and afterschool programs, the proceeds from this event will help provide support to these programs that serve 240 low income students in the Pulaski County Special School District. The SWAG Dance Team will perform during half-time. Tickets are available for only $5 for adults and $3 for students.

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - The teen movie for Tuesday, January 25 is "Easy A" (rated PG-13) starring Emma Stone. The show starts at 6 pm at the Nixon Library on Main St. Free popcorn and drinks are provided.

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - Jacksonville’s annual Trash to Treasure yard sale is like eBay, but better!  Discover numerous bargains up close and personal at this community-wide event – and take them home without a shipping fee.  A sale for buyers and sellers alike, this is the place to find great deals or to eliminate some of the clutter from your home.  The Farmers Market pavilion and parking lot will be transformed into a one-day, community yard sale. ATU students "rock" out

Arkansas Tech Student Activities Board is beginning the semester in full swing with “SAB Rocks” events beginning today at noon.

From noon until 6 p.m. SAB is encouraging students to come to Doc’s Place and create a pet rock, eat rock candy and rocky road ice cream, or climb a rock wall.

While “rocking out” with SAB, students can pick up a calendar of events for the spring semester.

At 6:30 p.m. the doors of the Witherspoon Auditorium will open for a concert with Jacksonville band PMtoday. The rock concert will also feature Silent Waits the Archer and Stereo Sound. The show begins at 7 p.m. Click here to read more about the concert.

These events are free to Arkansas Tech students with a valid Tech ID and the concert is $5 for anyone else.

JACKSONVILLE, AR - Derek M. Scott (USAF Col., Ret.), Director of Operations for the Pulaski County Special School district, is set to appear before the Education Committee to discuss PCSSD's 2020 Vision Program. The meeting will be Monday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m. at the Jacksonville Community Center, 5 Municipal Drive. All chamber members and interested parties are invited to attend.
