LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The polls are closed and results are in.

Pulaski County voters voted against a tax increase to raise millions of dollars for Pulaski Technical College. 25.31 voted for the tax, and 74.69 voted against it.

The school would need mote than $11 million for renovations and upgrades, and some voters thought the school should come up with the funding itself.

If the vote had passed, homeowners would be paying $38 on a home valued at $100,000.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart residents also voted on a tax increase.

They voted 'yes' to support the Baptist Health Medical Center there. The 1 percent tax increase is expected to generate $2.4 million annually for the Stuttgart hospital.
